Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – Policy
We recognise that as a corporate entity we have a duty to operate in a socially, moral and environmentally responsible manner.
We accept that our day-to-day activities will have positive and negative impacts on the environment and our community. As a company we undertake to work towards improving the positive impacts and minimising the negative impacts, and encourage our staff to act in a similar manner, both at work and domestically.
In particular we will:
- comply with all prevailing environmental legislation and local authority requirements
- manage and seek to minimise our use of energy and consumables
- motivate and educate out staff to conduct their activities in and environmentally friendly and socially and morally responsible manner
- continuously review our CSR policy and involve our staff in its evolution
- support staff in their voluntary activities through provision of time off, assistance and matched giving, to a reasonable degree.
To achieve this we will:
- include CSR on the agenda at all company meetings
- conduct assessments at least annually in terms of our progress and share this will our staff.
